Photo book «BODY LANGUAGE EXERCISES»

This is my graduation project as part of my studies at the HSE Art and Design School. It is dedicated to the topic of the body and posing at the intersection of art and fashion photography. As part of the project, I conducted 10 fashion shoots. The goal of each of them was to create a kind of metaphorical photo-plot, which became the result of working with the model, giving her freedom to express herself in the space I chose, and working out the images by stylists.

The interpretations of the presented photos can be multifaceted. My task was to give the viewer the ground for the flight of thought. Everyone can see their own in this project: for someone it is a departure from reality, for others it is a rebellion and a challenge, an attempt to break stereotypes or a metaphor for finding oneself in a particular space, in other words, a search for one’s place in life and in the world.

The result of the work was a photo book.
